Process
My process
Lay the foundations
Outline the project strategy. What are we building? Why are we building it? Identify your audience with user personas. Analyse user behaviour by gathering analytics, conducting surveys and interviews to understand the users' needs and pain points.
Wireframe and Testing
Create a low-fidelity wireframe to visualise the layout and functionality, help identify potential issues and opportunities early on in the process, and make improvements before investing time and resources into the final design. Stress test this design internally with stakeholders and participating users.
Design, Build, and Release
When the low-fidelity wireframes are signed off, create a Design System to ensure all high-fidelity designs are consistent. Handover the designs to the Developers in small batches to keep continuous momentum and avoid blockers. After releasing, monitor the data and listen to user feedback to understand how users are engaging with the new product. Create hypotheses, test, iterate, and repeat.
Monitor, Grow, and Scale
Switch focus to expanding the product’s reach and impact. Analyse post-launch data to identify key areas for growth and prioritise features that add value to the users and provide commercial value. Continually optimise the user experience, explore new markets, and adapt to different user segments.Iterate based on feedback, using A/B testing and data-driven decisions to refine the product and keep it competitive and scalable.
